First trombone of the Gran Teatro La Fenice since 2007,Giuseppe Mendola was born in Sicily in 1981 and received his diploma in the Conservatory "Vincenzo Bellini" in Palermo under the guide of Massimo La Rosa the principal Trombone player of the Cleveland Orchestra , and where he followed his studies for some years.
He attended courses in specialization with well known important musicians:Roger Bobo ,Charies Vernon,Joseph Alessi ,Rex Martin.Has won auditions in the :Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana ,Orchestra Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia ,Orchestra del Teatro Massimo " Vincenzo Bellini "Catania, Orchestra del Teatro Regio di Torino ,Orchestra del Teatro Alla Scala Milano.He has collaborated with the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI ,Orchestra Haydn of Bolzano ,Orchestra Filarmonica della Scala in various tournees and recordings for mediaset.
Performing under the guide of famous directors: Riccardo Muti ,Semyon Bychkov ,Eliahu Inbal,Kurt Masur,Jeffrey Tate , Sir Jonh Eliot Gardiner ,George Petre .Is a member of chamber music ensembles as the duet with piano Trombone Mendola - Saija the quartet of trombones "Venice Slide Quartet".
In the duet with the piano he won the first prize in the national competition "Nuovi Orizzonti 2008" and the first prize in the national competition international "Vincenzo Scaramuzza "2007.
In the role of solist in June 2011 he executed the concert for the trombone and orchestra of Nino Rota with Orchestra del Gran Teatro La Fenice Venezia.
Not only performing as a concert musician but also in the didactive teaching , participating in the courses of specialization in the most important Italian conservatories.
